Hands on Experience

The Porcelain Art Studio offers classes for the hobbyist china painter, from the interested newcomer to the experienced painter wanting some expert advice.
Beginners are welcome at the studio and will be taught how to paint on porcelain using traditional onglaze techniques, learning various styles from European decorative to naturalistic styles and many more advanced techniques including raised paste and gilding.
Class pieces are fired in the studio’s kilns and a further firing service is available for students. Paints, brushes, mediums and other painting materials are all available to purchase from the studio.
