Learn this beautiful art form with a professional teacher, Marisa D’Aprano is a well-known teacher throughout the UK, Europe and worldwide.
During their first term, students are taught how to paint on china and porcelain in the traditional decorative style, learning the brushstroke techniques for traditional European and English flowers.
During the second term, students learn the soft naturalistic technique which is the basis for many styles including naturalistic flowers.
From this, students can learn various techniques including penwork, raised enamel, gilding and then moving on to modern techniques if they wish.
Top quality china, porcelain and painting materials are available to purchase during the classes.
The classes are presently held on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning, 9.45am until 12.15pm. Each term consists of 10 lessons with a break for half term. There is a maximum of 8 students in a class.
A short "introductory" course over two or three mornings for groups of 4 -6 people can be arranged.
